The shades, Ruby Woo-ster and Bowery Brown, pay homage to Basquiat's New York roots, with a vibrant twist on the classic Ruby Woo and a hint of dirtiness inspired by the city's grit.
"Ruby Woo-ster is a celebration of Basquiat's love for bold colors, while Bowery Brown captures the essence of New York's streets. It's a fusion of art and makeup," Formichetti explains.

Coinciding with the release of the Netflix documentary "Jean-Michel Basquiat," this collection serves as a prelude to the film, which chronicles Basquiat's journey from a street artist to a neo-expressionist icon.
